Any efforts to recycle cardboard should hardly be sneezed at. But recycling perfectly good reusable cardboard boxes costs valuable time, money and resources, especially when there is another--even better--solution for all those cardboard boxes your company ends up with on a daily basis.
A company called UsedCardboxes.com says its cardboard box repurposing model will help save time, save money, and save trees by reducing the amount of cardboard that gets recycled and/or sent to the landfill.
UsedCardboardBoxes.com believes that many of the cardboard boxes companies send off to the recycler are actually being prematurely terminated. So the company works with large companies to "rescue" truckloads of quality used boxes that might otherwise be recycled or thrown away. They then bring the boxes back to one of their regional distribution centers where they inspect and sort the boxes by size and shape.
Boxes that meet the company's requirements for quality, shape and strength are pre-packaged into a wide selection of moving kits for houses, offices and apartments. The company specializes in three box sizes: moving boxes, shipping boxes, and gaylords (large, pallet-sized boxes).
Delivery is free to any address in the continental US in just 1-2 business days and complete moving kits start at just $38.00
Each kit comes complete with clean and sturdy used cardboard boxes, tape, recycled packing paper, markers and even a box cutter.
A Top 10 Finalist in the 2009 award for Green America's Green Business of the Year, UsedCardboardBoxes.com calculates that, as of this writing, the company hasl saved 15,163 trees with their program.
